Delete your Jimmy Pour account
Last updated: 5 October 2026

Delete your account from the app
- Open Jimmy Pour on your phone and sign in.
- Tap the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Read the consequences, then tap Delete my account. If you sign in with email and password, enter your password to confirm. If you sign in with Apple or Google, tap the explicit confirmation prompt.
- You will be signed out on every device and your data will be removed as described below.
Cannot access the app? Email support@jimmypour.com from the address on your Jimmy Pour account and ask us to delete your account. We will verify ownership and complete the deletion within 7 business days.
What we delete
When you complete deletion, we delete or remove the following:
- Profile information: email, password, @handle, Apple / Google sign-in identifier, display name, first and last name, avatar, hangout location, and partner contact details.
- Your Taste Preferences, your Taste Profile and everything it was worked out from, your Had It marks, and your "Use My Taste in Friends' Plans", "Include Me in Trends" and notification settings.
- Content you created or own: live sessions, planned sessions, session attendees, tasting captures (including notes, ratings, and reactions), reviews, friends, your bottle library, cigar inventory, humidors and their readings, crew newsletters you run, and session recaps.
- Golf scores and beer entries about you, and on nights you ran.
- Uploaded media under your user folder (session photos, capture photos, avatars, and bottle / cigar images).
- Authentication state: all refresh tokens and live sign-in sessions, push notification tokens, and any connected AI assistant's access (revoked).
- Your AI usage records, and the log of actions connected AI assistants took on your behalf.
- Your notifications inbox, share links you created, and Shopping Companion scans.
Content is removed from the app, from your devices and from your friends' devices at once. In our database, removed content is first marked deleted, so your devices and your friends' devices learn about the deletion when they next sync, and it is no longer linked to your email, name or sign-in details, which are erased. Thirty days later the content itself is erased: the text, notes, names, places and photos you added are wiped. What remains is a placeholder holding dates and figures that no longer identify you, such as ratings, quantities, golf scores and humidor readings.
What stays, without your name
- Pour ratings and likes you gave stay as anonymous numbers, so your friends' averages don't change. They are no longer linked to you.
- Comments you left on other people's moments stay as "[deleted]", so their threads have no gaps.
- Golf scores and beers you logged for someone else stay in their round, with your name removed.
What may be kept
- Crew newsletters that were already sent, and notifications friends already received (for example "Eric commented"), stay as they were sent.
- A record of your past purchases (what was bought and when, without the store receipt) for accounting.
- If you unsubscribed from our emails, that email address stays on our unsubscribe list so we never email it again.
- Server logs held by our hosting provider, and crash and error reports held by Sentry, which expire on those providers' own schedules.
- Encrypted backups that include your data roll off on a schedule: database backups within about four weeks, and backups of uploaded photos within about 90 days, longer only if a legal hold applies.
- Records we are required to keep by law (for example tax, fraud, or dispute records held by our payment or subscription processors).
